Westell to offer Ip.access small cells in South America
Press Release by ip.access
February, 7, 2018
ip.access, the world's leading independent small cell solution provider, has today announced an MoU with Westell, a leading provider of high-performance wireless network infrastructure solutions.
The MoU enables the two companies to pursue adding ip.access' portfolio of small cell hardware and software to Westell's comprehensive customer service offering, using Westell branding in the US, Canada, Mexico, and across South America. Westell has successfully deployed products worldwide, enabling service providers to transform their networks into high-quality, reliable solutions.
This is the first MoU for ip.access' most advanced solutions from the S60 product family, announced at MWC last year. The S60 range includes:
The S60 FDD LTE product for small-to-medium enterprises, supporting up to 32 active users with 150Mbps throughput
The S61 companion to S60 offering TDD LTE compatibility. It is offered in 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz variants, as well as 3.5GHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), also serving up to 32 active users
The R60, a ruggedised variant for rural and remote LTE neutral host deployment, delivering extended range, up to 10km, in a compact and power efficient package.
The S62D to support dual-mode 3G/4G deployments where CSFB is still a requirement, and dual-cell LTE for high-capacity and multi-operator.
Commenting on the relationship, Andy Smith, ip.access' Vice President Sales Americas, said: "Working with Westell allows us to expand our reach to global enterprises which are seeking enhanced coverage solutions. Our primary aim is to help enterprises all over the world improve the quality of their cellular services."
JJ Swartwood, Westell, Sr. Vice President Worldwide Sales, said: "There's huge demand for novel, innovative small cell solutions in the market, and we expect that ip.access' product portfolio can help us meet the needs of our customers and continue to provide them with best-in-class service."
