Three provider companies participated in the bidding process, already having presented the bid guarantees and being prequalified as bidders, so the allocation mechanism is very advanced.

This procedure and the base value are aligned with international experiences of spectrum bidding that have been successful for national states and are related to previous procedures established in the country for radio spectrum allocations.

The bidding process establishes the allocation of the frequency band between 3,300MHz and 3,600MHz primarily to the terrestrial mobile service. In this call, a total of 300MHz will be offered for auction in three lots of 100MHz each.

The deployment of 5G constitutes a medium- and long-term state policy that requires collaboration between the public sector and the private sector, including investments for the renewal of the network infrastructure that will be carried out by companies and the government to allow its commercialization with fair competition and affordable prices for users.
