Wood Interbrok to launch new company Sep.

Brazilian insurance broker Wood Interbrok will invest 1.6mn reais (US$541,000) in launching a new insurance company WIM Central de Seguros (WIM) in September, Brazil's national federation for private insurers Fenaseg informed. WIM will offer a wide range of individual and group insurance such as life and health, property & casualty and complementary pension plans. The goal is to close this year with 50,000 clients. In the auto-insurance segment, WIM will take over 14,000 clients from its parent. Wood Interbrok is Brazil's second largest independent insurance brokerage with 100,000 clients and 64mn reais in written premiums (Dec. 02). The company has partnerships with international players such as Risk Co and HLA Global.
