Component 2: contemplates the expansion of the existing San José Substation at the 500 kV level. Component 3: contemplates the expansion of the existing Yarabamba Substation at the 500 kV level. The proyect will help expand the capacity of the transmission system to avoid congestion on the transmission lines in the area of influence of the project, in addition to improving the operating conditions of the transmission system in the area of influence of the project, through the improvement of transient stability and reduction of the risk of sub-synchronous resonance. The works will be located between the districts of La Joya and Socabaya, both in the province and department of Arequipa, at an approximate altitude of 1,000 to 3,000 meters above sea level.
