The design flow of the plant is 100m3/s, the gross head is 367m. It will have the possibility of daily regulation of the flow to be able to guarantee the availability of firm energy throughout the year. A 14m bar will be installed to keep the water mirror sufficient for daily regulation and to avoid excessive entry of sediment into the adduction system. Once turbined, the water will be returned to the Biavo river through the discharge channel at an elevation of approximately 340 meters above sea level. The plant will have four francis vertical turbines. The electricity generated of approximately 2,119 GWh will be dispatched through the project's substation, which will be installed near the powerhouse, and a transmission line to the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN) of Peru. The construction stage will require about 1,000 people, of which 800 will correspond to qualified labor. For the operation phase, 18 people will be required. The project is located on the right bank of the Biavo River, in the Alto Biavo district, Bellavista province, San Martín region.
