Project characteristics include two Francis-type with vertical axis turbines and one horizontal axis turbine, a design flow of 130m3/s, a net head of 31.4m and a 50.1% loading factor. The plant will be linked with the Colo Michi Co transformer station through an underground line. The project is located in the upper part of the Neuquén river basin that occupies the northern area of the Neuquén Province. The projected site is located immediately upstream of the mouth of the Colo Michi Co stream and approximately 45km upstream from the confluence of the Nahueve and Neuquén rivers, near the town of Andacollo.
