Write to us at info@bnamericas.com or call us at +56 (2) 29410300 to schedule a demonstration of our platform.Description: The project consists of designing, building and operating a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) type electrical energy storage system based on lithium-ion batteries in containerized units, with the purpose of storing electrical energy from the National Electric System (SEN) for subsequent reinjection into the SEN during the hours of greatest demand, a capacity based on which it is possible to reinject 1,000MWh of energy during a period of approximately five hours. The BESS system will be composed of 247 battery units, each with 4.07MW of storage capacity. The project, which will be distributed over an area of 10.8ha, will be located in the Coquimbo region, Elqui province, Coquimbo commune, Chile. The storage and reinjection of electrical energy to the SEN will be carried out through the 220kV Pan de Azúcar – Las Palmas transmission line.
