Copper Open pit mining

Description: The Boa Esperança copper deposit is located on the east side of the Amazon Craton, approximately 40km southwest of the town of Tucumã, Pará state. Copper mineralization associated with breccia bodies is present over an area of 1.2km in a north-south direction by 1.5km in an east-west direction. However, the focus of mineralization is beneath the topographic hill at Boa Esperança, covering an area of about 600 x 400m. The main body of mineralization is cone shaped and tends to pinch out at depths of 400 to 500m below the base of oxidation. The presence of magnetite (iron) in the breccias hosting the copper mineralization suggests a deposit type classified as IOCG (iron oxide copper gold).
