Description: The project consists of the installation and assembly of an energy storage system, using batteries, called BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), located in the Commune of Sierra Gorda, Province of Antofagasta, Region of Antofagasta, approximately 47 km southeast from Baquedano. The energy will come from the connection of the Bolero Este Photovoltaic Project, which will be injected into the National Electric System (SEN) through the existing booster substation called Nueva Laberinto. The batteries have a storage duration of between 3 to 5 hours and involve the connection of 885 lithium-ion battery cubes, arranged into 59 clusters and totaling approximately 11,500 battery modules. It is estimated that the construction phase will last approximately 15 months and will have approximately an average workforce of 112 people and a peak of 173 people during 2 months.
