Rare earth elements (REE)

Description: The project consists of the reuse of the heavy minerals contained in the tailings of the Bom Futuro tin deposit for 30 years in an area of 590 ha, and the exploration of the area adjacent to the tailings, covering 9,960 ha to produce Rare Earths. The area contains rare earths, cassiterite (Sn), ilmenite (Ti), tungsten (W) and iron (Fe). It is located in Porto Velho, state of Rondonia, Brazil. It will benefit the nearby population, providing 300 direct jobs and another 4,500 indirect jobs.
