The works also include an improvement of the existing level pedestrian crossings, which will imply less superficial intervention, requiring only the construction of shafts with their respective work facilities, which will cover a total area of 15,779 m2. Given that the burying of the section will not modify the construction of structures intended to allow vehicular passage, it will not be necessary to modify or build the Iquique, Antofagasta and Pérgola Alameda railway bridges that had been included in the Alameda-Melipilla Train project.
