Description: CABRERO SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PARK Power generation plants greater than 3 MW The “Cabrero Solar” Project corresponds to a new photovoltaic park located 1.2 km to the south west of the city of Cabrero, in the commune of Cabrero, in the Region of Bio Bio. The project will generate clean energy through the construction of a 9 MW AC power plant, which is why it is considered as a small means of distributed generation (PMGD) based on non-conventional renewable energies (NCRE). The photovoltaic park will consist of approximately 40,000 panels, installed with single-axis tracker technology. Considers the construction of a 23 kV power line (“Interconnection Line”), approximately 770 meters long, to transmit the energy produced to the National Electric System (SEN), connecting to an existing feeder of the same voltage, owned by the local distribution company. The project contemplates the use of an approximate surface of 25 hectares, considering the total of its facilities. It should be noted that the Project will leave the creek areas that cross the property free. It will have a useful life of 25 years and the access to the Project will be from Route 146 (former route Q-50), towards the east at approximately kilometer 4.2. The objective of the “Cabrero Solar” Project is the generation of electrical energy from solar energy, through a photovoltaic park whose maximum power to be injected into the distribution network is 9 MW AC. The project will use the renewable resources that the Bio Bío Region presents for the production of clean and non-polluting energy during its entire operation phase, for which it is framed in the context of Non-Conventional Renewable Energies (NCRE). In recent years, energy demand has been growing throughout the world and in our country as well, both at a communal and regional level. Additionally, climate change and concern for the environment have generated the search for sustainable alternatives for energy generation. Therefore, this type of project contributes to the development of a diverse energy matrix for the country, delivering clean energy to the local distribution network and the National Electric System (SEN), since they do not generate polluting emissions during their operation, as They are PM10 and PM2.5 and gases into the atmosphere such as Sulphur, CO2, CO, Lead, etc.
