It is designed for a minimum speed of 100km/h, and includes a central reversible roadway with two lanes that will be operative in one direction or another depending on the demand in rush hour. The extension of the road starting from Loma Cobá will improve the existing vertical curve, limiting the slope to 6%, and will become independent of the current highway through a new route until the final connection with the Centenario highway. The new alignment runs in parallel to the existing road from Loma Cobá, traveling approximately 1 km through a wooded area until connecting with the Centenario road north of the current link of Burunga. Asphaltic concrete modified with polymers will be used, according to the Superpave methodology. The extension of the Centenario highway will be made with concrete pavement, with which this road is built. This new work will connect with the Fourth Bridge over the canal and line 3 of the Panama Metro. The project will be located in the province of Panamá Oeste, Panamá and will help shorten travel times to benefit more than 600,000 inhabitants.
