Description: The project seeks to transfer flows from 12 hydrographic basins in Ceará to the São Francisco River Integration Project ( PISF ), with the objective of distributing them in the main channels and river basins of the state, expanding the benefited areas and enhancing water supply. The project works include open-air canals, tunnels and siphons that will transport water from the Jati dam to the source where the Cariús River is born. This first section of the CAC is divided into five lots: Lot 1: Jati - Brejo Santo Lot 2: Brejo Santo - Barbalha Lot 3: Barbalha - Crato Lot 4: Crato - Nova Olinda Lot 5: consisting of tunnels and segmented channels in lots 2, 3 and 4. When the project begins to operate, it will benefit approximately 561 thousand people in 24 municipalities of Ceará. In addition, the works on lots 1, 2 and 5 will also contribute to the supply of the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza, benefiting more than 4 million inhabitants.
