Description: Expansion of the Chalinga Solar Photovoltaic Park Power generating plants greater than 3 MW The project consists of increasing the nominal direct current power of the solar plant by 15%, from 2.98 (according to Res. Ex. No. 77 Pronouncement to Consultation Letter of Relevance) to 3.45 MW and incorporate a battery system with 1.5 MW of power and up to 10 MWh of energy storage capacity. This means the installation of: 1. 1,092 panels of 395 W each to reach a total of 8,736 photovoltaic panels in the entire plant; and 2. An energy storage system consisting of three lithium ion battery modules located within independent maritime-type containers, and a container with the power conversion system. Then, the evacuation, access, communications and security systems of the existing plant are used without major modifications, and the general area of the project is maintained. The project is located in the rustic property corresponding to Lot 3B-4, located in the Cancha Brava sector, Salamanca commune, Choapa province, Coquimbo region. The objective of this Project is to increase the efficiency of the solar plant by taking advantage of the spaces available on the project site and the existing infrastructure, thereby increasing the electricity production capacity of the Chalinga Solar Photovoltaic Park and, on the other hand, the storage capacity allows shifting the energy injection schedules allowing greater flexibility and adaptability to the needs of the electrical system.
