Description: The project, which is submitted to the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA), consists of the economic exploitation of two contiguous underground mining deposits, which will share the surface facilities supporting mineral exploitation. The extraction will be carried out using the “Sublevel Stoping” method at a maximum extraction rate of 60,000 tpm. Complementary new works will be implemented in the project area, which will cover an area of approximately 6.76 ha, corresponding to new works associated with the San Andrés deposit. At present there is an approximate area of 24 ha, where there are surface facilities (casino, offices, parking lots, cellar, courts, roads, etc.), belonging to the Cinabrio mine (positively rated environmentally, through RCA 30/2012 “Regularization Cinabrio Mine ”), and that will be used for the operation of both deposits. Of the new works that will be implemented (6.76 ha), some will be temporary as offices, and others permanent as; parking lots, collection court, sterile dump and its respective contour channel. The current project reduces the amount of ore extracted, from 90,000 to 60,000 tons per month (tpm), at most (average 43,200 tpm), therefore all its emissions will be less than those already authorized environmentally. The project is presented through a DIA, since the generation of significant environmental impacts is not foreseen. In fact, both the quantity, disposition and management of emissions, the limited environmental value of the physical, biotic means in the project area and the assessed landscape wealth allow us to conclude that risks to the population's health are not generated, nor will they occur. significant impacts on the quantity and quality of renewable resources: neither will resettlement of human communities, nor will life systems and human customs be altered. In addition, the project is not located in or near resources and protected areas, own conservation sites, protected wetlands and glaciers; does not significantly alter the landscape or tourist value of the area; does not generate alteration of monuments, sites with archaeological, historical value and, in general, those belonging to cultural heritage. Objective The objective of the project is to carry out the extraction of ore, for a total of 2,600,000 tons of copper and silver ore, with copper as the main resource, with a cut-off grade of 0.50% and an average production rate of 43,200 tons per month (tpm), and maximum of 60,000 tpm for a useful life of 5 years, plus two years for its closing stage.
