The cogeneration plant will supply Pemex with electricity and steam, with excess power to be sold on the market. The goal is to have a power station that generates power in a competitive, steady and sustainable manner, thereby helping the Mexican government fulfill its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 50%. During the construction phase, this project should create 1,500 direct jobs.
