The initiative will speed up the transfer of goods arriving at the port of Manzanillo to the rest of the country and will relieve heavy transport congestion on the Mexican Army bypass that crosses the city. The project is divided into two sections: Section 1: From km 8 of the Colima Federal Free Highway (MEX-110) to the Jiquilpan area, where it will connect with the Altamira community. Section 2: From the vicinity of the town of Buenavista to the intersection of the Guadalajara-Colima federal toll highway (MEX-054D) and the Cd. Guzmán-Colima free federal highway (MEX-054). This section will connect with the Guadalajara-Colima highway and the Colima National Airport.
