The project will benefit the transport of grain production, and will be complemented by works planned for a 976km stretch of BR-163/230 between the cities of Sinop (Mato Grosso state) and Itaituba. The project is estimated to create 1,813 direct jobs and 799 indirect jobs. The project comprises the following sections: Highway BR-163 / MT, between BR-163 / MT Moeda PA / MT to Entroncamento MT-220, in the Municipality of Sinop Section of highway BR-163 / PA, between the junction with BR-230 / PA and Moeda PA / MT Section of the BR-230 / PA highway, between the junction with the BR-163 / PA highway and the Tapajós river crossing The concession will be valid for 10 years and investments of around 1.87bn reais are anticipated in improvement works.
