The 30-year concession covers 219 kilometers and is divided into the following sections: Highway BR-040/MG, between km 544.0 and km 831.4 in the State of Minas Gerais Highway BR-040/RJ, between km 0.00 and km 125.2 and the variant between km 00.00 and km 38.3 in the State of Rio de Janeiro Highway BR-495/RJ, between km 34.4 and km 34.5 in the State of Rio de Janeiro The objective of the concession is to improve the services offered in order to ensure greater fluidity and confidence to users when traveling on the road. In addition, it will increase security in the transport of cargo and passengers, and will reduce travel times and logistics costs. It is estimated that the concession will require investments of around 5.1bn reais and an operational expense of 3.77bn reais.
