Public-private partnership (PPP) Hospital

Description: The project seeks to expand, modernize and maintain, both in equipment and infrastructure, the largest public hospital in Rio de Janeiro through a public-private partnership (PPP) concession model. The PPP anticipates that the infrastructure works will be ready within three years. To participate in the contest, one of the requirements is to have verifiable experience in the management of hospital units with an emergency service, with a minimum of 250 beds, 40 of which are ICUs, and where the following number of procedures are performed annually: 120 in neurosurgery, 480 in orthopedics and 3600 surgeries. With this type of alliance, which has already been implemented in other Brazilian states, the aim is to distribute hospital services in two parts: those of "Bata Blanca" are the assistance services of municipal responsibility and are related to the comprehensive medical care of users , while those of "Grey Coat" refer to all the administrative services that will be in charge of whoever is awarded the tender.
