Description: Construction of a rainwater retention lake and other drainage devices in the Jardim Novo Planalto neighborhood in the municipality of São Felix do Xingu-PA. The population of São Felix do Xingu was formed mostly by indigenous peoples of the Caipós, Araras, Arauetés, Paracanãs and Asurini ethnic groups and today by several groups from states in the northern and northeastern regions. The population of the areas where the municipal headquarters are expanded, as is the case of the Jardim Novo Planalto neighborhood, is formed mostly by descendants of these indigenous peoples and Afro-descendants coming mainly from states such as Maranhão and Piauí. The proposed actions will contribute to addressing problems such as reducing the infant mortality rate, whose average in the city, according to IBGE 2010, is 21.36 per 1,000 live births, reducing hospitalizations due to waterborne diseases, which according to IBGE 2010 in the city is 2.4 per 1,000 inhabitants, school dropout rates, eliminating floods and/or flooding, and eliminating irregular settlements. The implementation of the proposed actions will impact the solution of sanitation problems faced by the majority of Brazilian society, mainly in municipalities in the northern region, as is the case of the Jardim Novo Planalto neighborhood in the municipality of São Félix do Xingu.
