Description: Construction of canals and galleries in high-risk areas in the municipality of Barcarena, PA, through the new PAC. Residents of the municipality of Barcarena, mainly from the various communities in the neighborhoods affected by the central problem of vulnerability in high-risk areas. The lack of adequate infrastructure for rainwater drainage can result in water accumulation, soil saturation and, consequently, terrain instability. In addition, the intense rains typical of the region cause streams and rivers to overflow, leading to flooding of urban and rural areas, resulting in landslides, which represent a constant threat to the safety of homes and the lives of their residents. The construction of canals and galleries in high-risk areas in the municipality of Barcarena, in the state of Pará, is an extremely important preventive and corrective measure. The main objective of this work is to mitigate the risks associated with flooding and landslide events.
