Energy Storage Substations Transmission Lines Photovoltaic Transmission

Description: The project contemplates the construction and operation of a photovoltaic park divided into 3 sectors: Lot B-7 (72,675 MWp) Lot B-8 (158,175 MWp) High voltage transmission line (LAT) The photovoltaic park will house 384,750 bifacial photovoltaic panels that will have a nominal power of 600 Wp each. The energy transformed by the photovoltaic panels of each lot will be evacuated to a 33 kV/220 kV booster substation, and then will be transported through the projected high voltage transmission line and finally injected into the National Electric System (SEN) through the existing Nueva Maitencillo substation. Additionally, each lot in the park will have an energy storage system, composed of lithium-ion batteries or BESS. The project is located in the Atacama Region, province of Vallenar, particularly in the communes of Vallenar and Freirina. The construction phase of the project will last 24 months in total.
