Description: The project consists of the construction of a new Equinix datacenter that will be connected via fiber optics to the company's other four centers in São Paulo and will provide 5MW of electrical power to hyperscale customers in the first phase. The installation will have 505 racks in its first phase. SP5 will be the company's first hyperscale data center in Latin America. These are facilities designed to house infrastructure from the main public cloud providers (AWS, Google, Microsoft, Oracle). Hyperscale businesses often require large amounts of space and energy in strategic locations. SP5 will be located in the city of Santana de Paraíba, São Paulo state.
