Double Roadway Villetas - Guaduas

Description: The corridor is located in the northwest of Cundinamarca and aims to connect the center of the country with the Caribbean ports. All vehicles, private and cargo, that travel the section between Cartagena or Medellín to Bogotá, and in the opposite direction, would pass through this route. The corridor begins at the Villeta interchange and culminates at the San Miguel interchange near Guaduas, which will allow the connection between the Sabana de Occidente Concession (Bogotá - Villeta) and Section 2 of the Ruta Del Sol Sector 1 corridor (Guaduas - El Koran) It is expected that the construction of the dual carriageway could reduce the journey between Medellín and Bogotá by two hours and, in addition, would make the connection between the country's capital and the Caribbean easier, together with the Magdalena 1 and 2 trunk roads (formerly Ruta del Sol 2) and the Ruta del Sol 3. The work will directly benefit the communication of the municipalities of Villeta, Útica, Quebrada Negra, Guaduas and the community of La Magdalena, neighboring towns of the project in the department of Cundinamarca.
