The dam will benefit 4,500 hectares in Jalisco and 3,000 in Colima, in addition to helping to modernize the hydraulic infrastructure to guarantee human supply, the use of large areas suitable for cultivation and livestock and, above all, will help build a development with more opportunities in this region. This dam will allow the irrigation of hectares in the Cihuatleco Valley, at the same time that it will allow conditioning a river of drinking water that will supply the cities of Cihuatlán and Barra de Navidad. The dam will be located on the Marabasco River, between the municipalities of Cihuatlán, Jalisco, and Manzanillo, Colima.
