This port will stand out as a strategic node within the Paraná-Paraguay Hydroway , with a direct connection to the Atlantic Ocean. It is a port suitable for deep water operations, without the need for dredging, and one of its great advantages is that it will not be affected by low water levels caused by the lack of rain, such as those caused by the meteorological phenomenon known as “La Niña”. The project also includes the construction of an additional bulk port that will complement the operations of the multipurpose port. This will be located at km 70 of the river, 7 km downstream from the main terminal. Being integrated into the waterway, this port will take advantage of the river as a fundamental channel for the transport of minerals, grains, industrial products and fuels, which will significantly boost the country's export capacity. The port will be scalable, with the possibility of developing a continuous coastline of more than 1,000 meters, on a total area of 80 hectares. In addition, an area will be designated for the Argentine Naval Prefecture, with the aim of reinforcing control and security operations in the area. The construction of the works will generate approximately 3,000 direct jobs. Of these, 1,500 will be related to the construction of roads, basic port infrastructure and the start of operations, while the other 1,500 will correspond to specialized jobs, such as workers, foremen, managers and other professionals.
