Espírito Santo fiber optic network (ES-Digital)

Description: The project contemplates the implementation of a fiber optic network to meet the data connectivity demands of the state government. The intention is to expand this existing optical mesh in Gran Vitória to some 30 municipalities in the state, connecting approximately 462 more points of presence. It will be possible to provide more efficient service to the population, having access to important systems, such as Detrannet, Digital Health and e-Docs, which allow the electronic processing of documents and processes. ES-Digital will also allow a more efficient management of schools and hospitals in the state network. Another benefit includes the ability to video conferencing more easily, avoiding fuel costs. The new network will also provide the conditions for teleconsultations to take place, which provides a more qualified service from health professionals to the population. The possibility of improving tax collection mechanisms and monitoring of administrative and judicial processes are other advantages of the ES Digital network, which will have speeds of 1 to 10 gigabits per second.
