The initiative will be developed in two phases. The first includes a 300MW plant and the second will add a 250MW plant. The plants will be located in the former Wales Sugar Estate on the West Bank Demerara and gas supply will come from the privately-owned Gas To Energy project, which will process and transport natural gas produced at the Stabroek block, offshore Guyana.
