Description: The Guaymas-El Oro segment will transport gas to Mexico's northwestern region and supply CFE's Topolobampo and Guaymas plants. It will be developed by IEnova subsidiary Gasoducto de Aguaprieta. This section is the second in IEnova's Sonora pipeline project. Guaymas-El Oro will connect to the Encino-Topolobampo and El Oro-Mazatlán lines. The pipeline will also supply a compression station. Part of Mexico's north-northwest pipeline development, the Sonora pipeline portion will contribute to reducing natural gas costs in the region.
