The layout of the railway will connect the Metropolitan area of Medellín to the east and the line would extend to the Caño Alegre sector in the vicinity of the municipality of Puerto Triunfo, continuing through Magdalena Medio and continuing to the department of Cundinamarca, crossing the municipality of Guaduas , to reach the capital of Colombia to the west of the urban area, reaching a minimum speed of 290 km/h, allowing the two poles to be linked in less than 5 hours, benefiting nearly 14 million inhabitants of both metropolises.
