Port Onshore Wind Desalination plant Green Hydrogen Transmission Lines

Description: The HNH Energy project corresponds to a plant for the commercial production of green ammonia that would be powered by onshore wind energy and an electrolyzer on a 22,000-hectare property in the Magallanes region, Chile. Green ammonia production capacity is estimated at 6,600t/d. The 100% renewable project would avoid the generation of 2.3 million CO2 per year. The wind farm will be made up of 176 wind turbines on an approximate area of 17,000ha and will be carried out in two phases. In addition, an underground high voltage network will be built that will connect the wind generators with all the components of the project. A desalination plant will provide water for the production of hydrogen and ammonia, as well as the drinking water necessary for consumption inside the complex facilities for both the construction process and its operation. The zero-carbon fuel, produced by combining green hydrogen and nitrogen in the air through the well-known Haber-Bosch process, would be used to produce fertilizers, power ships or replace coal in existing power plants.
