Description: The present Project consists of carrying out the process of "hydraulic fracturing" to the PAD Cabaña Norte ZG1 and Punta Piedra ZGC of the Arenal Block, with six wells (6) each ironed or PAD. For the purpose of the above, it is also considered the installation of 2 flow stations, which will be located inside the respective ironing. The fracturing process consists of a technique of stimulation of the well, through the sustained injection of a fluid at such a pressure, that causes the rupture of the rock of the deposit (increase of the contact area of the reservoir with the well), with the purpose of creating new channels or connecting existing flow channels, increasing the flow rate of the well and thereby its productivity. The objective of Production is the extraction of hydrocarbons confined in the Glauconitic Formation, whose existence has been demonstrated by previous studies. This formation is located at an approximate depth between 1,500 and 3,000 meters below the mean sea level and will be accessed through the hydraulic fracture of 2 PAD in the Arenal Block. The permeability of the rock in conventional hydrocarbon reservoirs (as in the case of Springhill in Magallanes), is from 5 to 1,500 millidarcy approximately, however, in non-conventional reservoirs, the permeability of the rock fluctuates between 0.001 to 0.04 milidarcy . Due to the low permeability, it is necessary to perform the fracture operation, without which extraction of the confined hydrocarbons would not be possible. Regarding the drilling process of the PADs associated to the present project (6 wells to be fractured by PAD), they were environmentally qualified through the Environmental Qualification Resolution (RCA) No. 047/2018, corresponding to the "Generic Sub-Arenal Blocks" project. It should be mentioned that, currently, none of the wells that are part of this project is drilled, however, in each PAD there is already a well drilled and fractured with its respective RCA for both drilling and fracture. Objective The Project seeks to increase the productivity of 2 PAD hydrocarbons located within the Arenal block, through the process of hydraulic fracturing in the Glauconitic Formation, a process that will increase the area of contact of the reservoir with the vicinity of the wells, thereby achieving the extraction of the hydrocarbons contained in the deposit at profitable flows.
