It involves improvements of the north and south sections, along with a boulevard 450m long by 7m wide that benefits some 200 businesses that provide food services at the entrance of the town of Yahuarcocha. The North Ring Road connects 13 sectors of the city. It crosses the Chorlaví River until it joins the current road to Urcuquí. It then crosses Vacas Galindo Avenue and the Ibarra - Salinas railroad line, then crosses the neighborhoods of Santa Teresita, Lomas de Azaya, Guayaquil de Alpachaca, Vista al Lago, until it joins with 13 de Abril Avenue, at the height of the Universidad Técnica del Norte stadium. It continues along this road, joins Obispo Jesús Yerovi Avenue and ends at Cristóbal de Troya Avenue, at the height of the Olympic Stadium of Ibarra. The South Ring Road connects 20 neighborhoods, such as Chamanal, Ejido de Caranqui, Bellavista de Caranqui, Santa Lucía del Retorno, El Bosque, La Campiña, La Victoria, the Catholic and Technical Universities of the North, Av. 17 de Julio, El Olivo, up to the intersection with Panamericana Norte E-35.
