Description: Implementation of an integrated water supply system in rural communities in the municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa, state of Bahia. The system aims to serve rural communities and benefit 3,826 people living in the localities of Juá, Bandeira, Santa Rita, Campo Grande 1 and Campo Grande 2, belonging to the municipality of Bom Jesus da Lapa. The localities of Bom Jesus da Lapa (IDH 0.633) to be benefited by the proposed system, although they already have some form of supply, have structures of the existing system that are dilapidated and whose maintenance and operation conditions are minimal, having to resort to alternative means such as the use of tanker trucks. The water offered by these means of supply often suffers alterations in its quality, not meeting the potability standards determined by the Ministry of Health. Serve the homes of these localities that currently do not have a water supply system. Improvement in the quality of life of the population, retention of people in the countryside due to a regular supply of water in quantity and quality, increase in the coverage rate of the supply service, thus resulting in an increase in the coverage rate in the rural area of the state of Bahia, as recommended by the National Basic Sanitation Plan (Plansab).
