Improvement of Sewage Treatment Plant

Description: The Project called "Improvement of Wastewater Treatment Plant of Placilla", consists of increasing the treatment capacity and modernizing the system currently in operation to enhance its efficiency, designing a new treatment system that will be located in the same site of the plant existing by reusing some of its components. This optimization of the current plant will absorb the increase in demand, product of the development of new real estate projects in the town of Placilla de Peñuelas, specifically in the Curauma sector. The delivery of sewerage service is projected to 77,680 clients for the year 2024 and 114,431 for 2035. The projected plant has been devised in two construction phases, with a maximum flow per phase of 303 l / s and 437 l / s respectively. The Project will use the mechanism of activated sludge of continuous aeration of continuous flow and produce sludge that will not require other processes for compliance with SD No. 4/2009, Regulation for the Management of Sludge Generated in Sewage Treatment Plants and a effluent in accordance with DS 90/00, Emission Standard for the Regulation of Contaminants Associated with Discharges of Liquid Residues to Marine and Surface Continental Waters. It is worth mentioning that the generated sludge will be disposed in a sanitary landfill and / or mono-fill, an installation that will have the corresponding sanitary authorization. Objective The main objective of the Project is to modernize and increase the treatment capacity of the wastewater treatment system of ESVAL to increase the coverage of the sanitary service in the town of Placilla de Peñuelas.
