Wind Project topics

Description: The project aims to increase Uruguay's electricity generation, in order to supply the increasing demand. As part of a government plan to expand the generation using renewable sources, it will be used the kinetic potential of wind in Artigas department to produce power. The project consist in the construction and operation of a wind farm formed by 28 Nordex aerogenerators, with 2,4MW capacity each one, to produce 67.2MW. Once operational, the park will produce 283GWh/y, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 100,000 people in Uruguay.
