Hydro Dam Photovoltaic Transmission Lines

Description: The project involves the construction of a solar plant to feed a pumped-storage facility, which will be used as a reservoir for the existing La Vegona hydroelectric dam. The storage facility will be developed in three phases of 450MW each. Vegona II will include a transmission line to industrial areas in Honduras and will connect to the regional grid, the Electrical Interconnection System of Central American Countries (SIEPAC). The initiative will be located in the municipality of Victoria, department of Yoro, Honduras.
