Open pit mining Gold

Description: The Yaqui Grande is an open pit mining project to produce gold. It is located in the Mulatos District, where the main Mulatos pit is located. Given that La Yaqui Grande has higher grades and favorable metallurgy, it is expected to significantly reduce combined costs at Mulatos. Production from La Yaqui Grande will replace higher cost production from the main Mulatos pit, keeping combined production at approximately 150,000 ounces per year. The project will have a separate heap leach pad and crushing circuit. The Yaqui Grande is located approximately 7 kilometers (in a straight line) from the Mulatos operation, in the Mexican state of Sonora.
