The work is divided into two sections: Section A: Contemplates the improvement and widening to dual carriageway of the current Route 25, in the section between Carmen Alto (junction with Route 5) and the junction with Balmaceda Avenue, north of the current traffic circle of the southern access to the city of Calama. Route 25 El Carmen Alto Junction, 0 - 858.5 (Dm), 0.860 (m) Route 25 El Carmen Alto - Calama Junction Section, 858.5 - 111.860 (Dm), 111.00 (m) Section B: It is based on the construction of a new eastern bypass in Calama of approximately 25 km in length that will connect, through a single carriageway, routes 25, 23, 21 and 24 east. New Calama East Bypass, 400 - 25,000 (Dm), 24.60 (m) The connection between Carmen Alto, Sierra Gorda and Calama, with 136 kilometers in total, will provide a better travel experience and road safety for the inhabitants of the Antofagasta Region and will bring benefits to the entire community.
