This section additionally integrates the city of Loja with the Airport located in the Catamayo canton, which is the main aerodrome that makes possible the logistical activities demanded by the productive dynamics of the provinces of Loja, Zamora Chinchipe and Morona Santiago. The road consists of only one lane in each direction, which is inadequate for the number of vehicles that use it. The project aims to expand the entire road to 4 lanes. Once complete, users will benefit from reduced travel times. The project will directly and indirectly benefit more than 750,000 inhabitants of the sector, promoting economic development and employment.
