Description: The 4,168ha Los Crestones property is located 100km north of Culiacán in Mexico's Sinaloa. Host to numerous mineralized showings and small scale historical excavations, gold, silver and copper mineralization is encountered at surface in structurally controlled veins and breccias. The project is within the northwest trending gold-silver belt of western Mexico and is prospective for low sulphidation epithermal gold and silver, in addition to porphyry-style mineralization. The project was acquired by Orex Minerals through its merger with Astral Mining in February 2013. Astral acquired the property in late 2010 through its Mexican subsidiary Astral Mining. Astral initiated community consultation and education in the region, and Orex will continue this work. Orex intends to complete geological mapping and reconnaissance sampling over the property, in addition to geophysics, to refine the geological model before testing with drilling. To date, 148ha, less than 4% of Los Crestones, has been covered by soil sampling.
