Description: The project involves installation of a thermoelectric plant equipped with two 375MW pulverized coal combustion units operating with bituminous and sub-bituminous coal, thus reducing pollutants released into the air. The project will also involve construction and operation of a coal-unloading port and breakwaters to ensure the safety of port operations and a deposit used for management and final disposal of ash residue remaining after combustion. The project will require 1,233 workers during the construction phase and will generate 105 long-term jobs during the ensuing operational phase.
