The project seeks to expand the transmission system in the southern area of the Northeast and North Region of the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo to meet the expectation of contracting high volumes of energy from renewable generation projects in the region, with emphasis in wind and solar plants. The components of the lot are: LT 500 kV São João do Paraíso - Padre Paraíso 2 C1, CS, with 175 km; LT 500 kV Padre Paraíso 2 - Mutum C1, CS, with 334 km; The lines will pass through the municipalities of Berizal, Comercinho, Curral de Distancia, Itaobim, Medina, Padre Paraíso, Ponto dos Volantes, Santa Cruz de Salinas e São João do Paraíso, Caraí, Catuji, Conselheiro Pena, Divino das Laranjeiras, Frei Gaspar, Galiléia, Itambacuri, Mutum, Nova Módica, Pescador, Pocrane, São Félix de Minas, Teófilo Otoni and Tumiritinga of the state of Minas Gerais. The successful bidder has a period of 66 months to put the lot into commercial operation, counting from the signing of the concession contract. It is estimated that the project will generate 2,528 jobs.
