This section includes: Stations: Escárcega, Campeche Carrillo Puerto Edzna, Campeche San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche Whereabouts Carrillo Puerto, Campeche Tenabo, Campeche Hecelchakan, Campeche Calkini, Campeche The Mayan Train consists of a new rail transport service that interconnects the main cities and tourist areas of the Yucatan Peninsula. Its objective is to promote social inclusion and job creation through tourism and promote socioeconomic development. It will provide passenger service during the day and cargo service at night. To minimize the environmental impact, existing rights of way such as railway lines, roads and power lines will be used in some segments. The section goes from Escárcega to Calkiní in the state of Campeche and passes through 6 municipalities and 31 ejidos in which environmental and social development is promoted through Well-being Programs. During the execution of the works, the project has generated 12 thousand jobs.
