The engines will run primarily on gas, having the ability to use liquid fuel as a backup, if necessary. During the summer months, the plant will operate continuously, meeting the region's high electricity demand, when temperatures can reach 50°C. During the rest of the year, it will be used to provide a grid balancing service.
