Description: Mining Activities in Period 2024/2025 Mining development projects over 5,000 tons/month The Project consists of the extension of the useful life of the activities and facilities of the Zaldívar mining site, for only 17 months, from January 2024 to May 2025. The foregoing, maintaining the previously authorized material extraction and production rates. Consequently, this Project considers the following modifications of works, parts and actions: a) Expansion of infrastructure and mining facilities: Deepening of pit, in 45 m. Increase in the capacity of the Secondary Lixiviation Heap for Gravel (LSR), due to its increase in height, not in surface area; Increased capacity of the Dump Leach (DL) Stack, due to its increased height, not surface. b) Expansion of service works: Expansion of the Sanitary Landfill for the final disposal of Domestic Solid Waste (RSD) and Non-Hazardous Solid Industrial Waste (RSINP), in 2 cells (1.89 h of surface) additional to the 6 existing ones. c) Extension of the useful life of the other activities and facilities of the site: Continuity of operation of mining facilities within the environmentally authorized capacity, including the Dynamic Pile, Sterile Dump and Tailings Deposit and temporary extension of the other facilities of the mining site complementary to the Zaldívar site operation, under the currently authorized terms, except for the modification of the irrigation rate in the Dynamic Leaching Pile (4 -12 l/h/m2). The Project aims to extend the operation phase of the mine area for 17 months, from January 2025 to May 2025, both months inclusive. It is not required to modify or extend in any way the current environmentally authorized water supply system, therefore, it is not part of the Project.
