The objective is to maintain and extend the useful life of Salto Grande, its production capacity, efficiency and safety for the next 40 years. For this, the modernization and improvement has been divided into three stages. The Salto Grande dam is located in the middle course of the Uruguay River, upstream of the cities of Concordia (Argentina) and Salto (Uruguay).
