The purpose is to ensure the leaching cycle to achieve optimal copper recovery. Cells 15 to 21 are currently in operation, with construction of cells 22 to 26 still pending. This last section (cells 22 to 26) will not allow the total number of days of the leaching cycle to be reached, so a new cell configuration (cells 22 to 33) is planned to ensure the leaching cycle. In this sense, the project corresponds to a modification of an existing mining development project. In addition, the project includes the construction of an emergency PLS (Pregnant Leach Solution) pool, corresponding to the modification of one of the approved pools, along with the extension and modification of the northern drainage trench, as well as the current PLS and refining solution transport systems.
